If you cannot be present for your loved one’s ash scattering, Burials in the Sea offers a respectful unattended service. Your loved one is honored with a peaceful ceremony in the Pacific Ocean, carried out with care and dignity.

Join us for an in-person, private tribute to honor your loved one. Our live ceremony offers a unique opportunity to pay homage in a meaningful and personalized way, surrounded by the serenity of the ocean for 15 passengers, with the option to include additional people, up to 20.​​​​

Captain
Captain Joss Martinez, originally from the stunning South of France, has 28 years of rich experience as a proficient sailor. Since taking the helm in Marina Del Rey in 2008, he has skillfully navigated waters with passion and expertise. In 2015, he launched a sea charter business that includes the renowned Ocean Memorial, dedicated to providing remarkable maritime experiences.
